I can probably beat any rate as my margin is small - send me a request anyway
and I will see what I can do...
The additional advantage is that I am based at Pilanesberg, and I will book
you into a Lodge suited to you. I am also at hand if needed.
I offer you the free 3 hour open vehicle Lodge drive, plus a good % off the
accommodation. I can also offer a longer private specialist drive with myself
in the morning at a fee
- closed vehicle (dust, rain, wind, cold). We can stop as long as we want
when we find that quality sighting, as it will just be us, without the other
20 people on the Lodge drive. I'm the only guide based at Pilanesberg that
can offer you this. In addition for the foreign visitors, I offer a very reasonable
transfer rate, with well priced stopping options en route at Sun City, the
Predator Park, Ukutula Lion Park, Elephant Sanctuary, De Wildt Cheetah Centre,
Chameleon Village Fleamarket at Hartebeespoort dam, Lesedi Cultural Village
and the Cullinan Diamond Mine. Even if you drive yourself,
consider stopping somewhere below not only on the way there, but on the way
back as well. Lastly, if flying in or out of Jo'burg locally (Cape Town, Durban,
PE, EL), look at Lanseria airport i.s.o. ORTambo - it is 30 minutes closer
to Pilanesberg, and just about all the car rental companies are based there
now as well.

from/to Cape Town Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays direct to and from Pilanesberg,
currently at R1260+ one way. March 2018

JUNIOR RANGERS
Legacy Junior Rangers program is available for all children aged 6-12 years. Activities are geared around
natural resource protection, environmental education and responsible recreation offering a special opportunity
to explore the Pilanesberg National Park.
Included: 1 free drive per adult/day for hotel guests that paid above rates. Bushbraai only every Wednesday and Saturday night for all hotel & timeshare guests - weather permitting, min 30 pax total; Timeshare residents have to pay for the game drive though. VAT. 1% tourism levy.
Excluded: Sun City entrance & shuttle. Game walk on request. Drinks. Game drives R550pp. Extra game drives. Transfers to/from Gauteng
Check-in time is 14:30 on day of arrival, check-out time is 10:00 on day of departure.
Game drives - R550pp/3 hours 13yo and older, 6 - 12yo R275/child, no under 6 yo on game drives., Game drives & Bush Braai - min 30 pax
Game drive & Bush Braai if staying elsewhere subject to availability - R900pp. Need to be booked and paid for in advance, and you will need to make your own way to the Lodge and be there 15 min before departure.
Game drives & Bush Braai can also be arranged on any other evening however these are subject to a minimum of 30 people being booked (groups less than 30 are still required to pay for 30).
For a Bush Braai Only on other nights for a group less than 30 a surcharge of R2500 is applicable if no other groups are booked, and your group is alone at the boma. The transfer to the boma is R30 per person.Game drive times:

Note that you will need to book the return time in advance! -----------------------------------------------------------------------------Now as for Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge, Kwa Maritane's vehicles and the Kwa Maritane rangers:
Situated on the eastern side nestled sort of on the outside of the concentric mountain range, this lodge is great, even for kids. Kwa Maritane is more private and quieter than Bakubung. An absolute winner for me though is the space, the friendly staff, great restaurant service, excellent food thanks to the head chef, a great business centre and the live tv/video connection to the waterhole from your room and the bar. They also have a very interesting & informative little game info centre. The downside of this lodge is that there is a stretch ( 25 minutes) on your 3 hour drive where you normally don't find much except about 2 months of the year. Large open trucks are used. The Kwa guides are really passionate, and have been consistently great the last 15 years or more. I value them just as much as the older Ivory Tree guides. Sorry Bakubung, you have a couple of good ones & the exceptional Jared plus lots of years, but Kwa rules... :)
