Bakgatla Accommodation Rates 2019/20
35 Km's from Sun City, in the middle of Northern edge of Pilanesberg

All Chalets have 1 double downstairs, equipped kitchen, lounge with TV with stairs to loft, 3 singles upstairs, 1 bathroom.
All are equipped for self catering. Loft not advisable for kids under 6yo - stairs are very steep.
Outside is a table with 5 chairs as well as a braai (BBQ) area with a grid.

Chalet rates are with a buffet breakfast (160pp), add R180pp for supper - no self catering rates
Restaurant opens at 7h00 for breakfast till 10h00 in the week, and 11h00 on weekends and public holidays.
Note that the last kitchen order is at 21h00 (9pm). If you come from Jo'burg at 19h00/7pm, then eat before you leave.
To book payment to us in full within 48 hours after we confirm availability please, if after, we can not guarrantee space that.
Please note that staying Friday or Saturday you have to pay for 2 nights min.

There is 1 shop at Bakgatla selling all the basics; open the same hours as the Park gates. The closest hospital is now in Ledig, - they don't carry anti snake venom. George Stegman has closed! The Garage - just go straight once out the gate, and 1 km past the circle. The new Moruleng Shpping Centre is huge, and right opposite the garage, much better than Sun Village. Pick & Pay and Shoprite Supermarkets. Then 4 fast food shops, 4 banks, and about 10 clothing stores - even open 9h00 - 16h00 on Sundays & Public Holidays.
For breakdowns expect to pay at least R610 - 660 pp to Gametrackers to take you out the Park. The Park itself will normally tow you out for free to the closest gate, but then you are on your own - 014 555 1600 if you have reception. More than half the breakdowns are from oil sumps hitting rocks. You can avoid this if you drive slower on bad roads.

Peak season: 2019/20: All weekends, school holidays are at weekend rate

As from November 2017, new bookings over R1000 @ Rack rates as below minus 12%.
Full payment required for these rates - book, pay within 48 h, get confirmed & it's done and dusted! Add 2% for cash deposits, R150 for Overseas Transfers.
Note when fully booked and I have to work at getting a cancellation, no discount applies. Confirmations 7 days or less after payment.

Jan 2018 - It might seem like quite a jump especially re camp sites, but the last 3 years the yearly increases were minimal.

Children under 12 yr sharing - free accommodation, pay only R85 per child for b/f, or R195 for b/f + dinner. Below 4 - no charge.

Note 3 : There are D, B&B rates available. I don't display it as you can just take the buffet, works out roughly the same, but this leaves you free to bbq at night, or eat a la carte for probably less.
